While Columbia River seems to specialize in Tactical designs, they also produce an occasional design that is outstanding for hunters and campers. This is such an occasion.

The Falcon is a natural folding hunter. Almost traditional in its gently curving shape, both sizes seem to fill the hand perfectly for exceptional grip, thanks to a pronounced finger guard, birds head butt, and an ergonomic thumb ramp. The handle uses a sturdy design, with two stainless steel liners (one locking), and heavily textured injection molded Zytel® scales. Handles and scales are drilled through with a distinctive pattern to reduce weight. A Zytel® back spacer and Torx® fasteners give exceptional rigidity. Teflon® bearings at the blade pivot make opening and closing smooth, precise and authoritative.

In keeping with the traditional feel, the Falcon's drop point blade has a slight recurve and a bright satin finish. Of tough AUS-6M stainless steel, there is a strong double swedge, that lightens somewhat and gives a much finer point. The ambidextrous thumb disk is a CRKT hallmark. Aggressive friction grooves at the thumb ramp improve grip and locate the Falcon positively in the hand. A custom removable stainless steel clothing/gear clip also receives a bright satin finish.

To provide the ultimate in lock security CRKT has added the patented Lake And Walker Knife Safety (LAWKS®), which converts the folder to a virtual fixed blade when actuated with a flick of the thumb.
