A single Selected English Walnut Knife Handle Block, ideal for Scandi block or for re-sawing to make bookmatched scales.

Walnut is a very popular wood for making gunstocks as it is very stable and shock resistant. It is an easy wood to work and finishes well. This bach is fairly plain and straight grained with contrasing dark lines.

We have some interesting blocks of prime figured stock which are currently drying including some highly figured english walnut crotch, Turkish and Claro walnut Burls. These will be listed as soon as they are stable and ready to use.

Typical moisture content around 12%

Minimum size 28mm x 40mm x 125mm

Please note that the scales shown in this image have been wetted slightly to give an idea of the grain / colour once finished.
