This is a very fine piece of handcraft made in the Swedish part of Lapland in a traditional northern scandinavian way.

The Blade is approx. 10cm (3.93 inches) long, 2.4 cm wide and 3mm thick, is Very Sharp and is made from high quality Sandvik 12C27 stainless "surgical" steel (HRC 57).. The blade extends with an internal tang that stretches approx 2.5" into the handle and is secured very firmly so that it will not come loose. In fact Karesuando offers a Life-time Guarantee that if the blade comes loose you will get an new knife straight away! Basically the blade will never come loose! The internal tang design is beneficial from a weight perspective.

The Handle is made from oiled and stained curly birch, reindeer antler and a brass bolster.

The Diamond Sharpener will help you keep your knife, axe or other tools very sharp. It's portable size and format allows you to bring it with you wherever you are going. Double sided with a coarse and a fine side.

The coarse side, with a diamond grain size of 60 micron, will quickly and effectively restore or re-shape a blades edge.

The fine side with grain size of 30 micron is used to remove the scratches of larger grits and to refine an edge honing it like a traditional whetstone.

The size of each diamond covered side is 5.1cm (2 inches) x 2cm (0.75 inch).

The Sheath is a traditional Sami style sheath made from wet formed half-tanned leather, and features a side pocket for the Diamond Sharpener.

This knife is brilliant for hunting, fishing and forest activities. It is also suitable for carving and could be used in all kinds of outdoor activities such as survival exercises, bushcraft and camping. The great benefit of a diamond sharpener compared with conventional honing stone is that it can be used dry without water or other lubricant, it maintains its flat surface throughout its lifetime and it reduces the grinding time substantially.
