The dramatic looks of this new tactical knife from Kershaw will turn your head fast. But, believe us, this is the kind of Whiplash you want. The new Whiplash is a bold, military-style fixed-blade knife with a built-in parachute cord lanyard. Just pull the tab at the butt of the knife to release the elasticized lanyard, wrap it around your wrist, and you're good to go. For an even more secure grip, the Whiplash features extra-large thumb notches on top of the blade, as well as an oversized index-finger notch below. For hardness and strength, the blade is made of 8CR14 stainless steel (a premium stainless steel similar to AUS8A) with matte black PVD coating. The 8CR14 earns a 58-59 rating on the Rockwell scale and the PVD provides wear resistance, low friction, and edge retention. The Whiplash's glass-filled nylon handle offers strength and non-slip control. When not in use, the lanyard wraps around the handle and secures out of the way. The Whiplash comes with a durable sheath built of injection-molded plastic and nylon.
