Wilmas Elddon Firelighting Kit contains all you need to naturally start fire, making it an essential piece of kit for Bushcrafters as well as a fantastic alternative gift for someone.

The kit contains Firesteel, Flint stone, Amadou tinder, Dry Grass, Birch bark, special Fatwood Pine, and instructions on how to safely use the kit.

Place a teased or already burnt part of the tinder about 1mm under the edge of the Flintstone, the hold the steel at an angle and try to strike the edge of the Flintstone swiftly. Repeat this until sparks are being caught in the tinder and it starts glowing. Move the glow to a small piece coarse tinder you placed in a little heap of the Dry Grass. Pinch off the glowing tinder and keep it for later use.

Now you can raise the temperature by blowing carefully on the tinder until you get small flames. Then build up the fire by adding bits of Birch Bark or small and dry sticks until you get small flames in the tinder, gradually adding larger pieces of firewood.

Soon you'll be sitting with your friends around a wonderful fire just as your ancestors used to do - a long, long time ago!
